FAQS 2
How Do I Decide Between Flowers Or Donations?
We liaise with your chosen florist or recommend florists
specialising in formal or natural arrangements: organise floral
decorations at your pre or post ceremony venue and take care of
donations.
What Type Of Music Is Available?
We are able to source most pieces of music you may wish
to be played at the service be it classical or contemporary. We
can arrange professional singers or musicians to enhance the
ceremony. Anything is possible from a jazz band to a string
quartet.
Are There Alternatives To The Traditional Coffin And Burial Urns?
Consider a bamboo or willow coffin interwoven with
flowers & herbs. Ecological cardboard coffins in wood grain.
Earthsleepers in papier-mâché and fibre-rich
Eco-pods painted in your chosen designs and colours.
Traditional coffins in oak or pine can also be painted, either professionally
or by friends and family. Choose something that reflects the
person whose life you are celebrating. Many people find this
takes away the initial shock of seeing the coffin for the first
time.
In addition to the traditional wooden urns you have a
choice of eco, bamboo, or wicker ashes caskets and pottery or
stone urns, which can also be decorated and painted.
When Can We Visit The Chapel Of Rest?
Come whenever you wish, including weekends. With family and friends.
Or alone. If you are unsure we will always come with you.
If you wish to place letters, photographs or personal items in the
coffin, we assure you they will remain undisturbed. You may also
like to bring a cherished outfit for your loved one to wear.
How Do I Decide Between Burial Or Cremation?
Do you already have a family plot or chosen churchyard? Many people
like the idea of woodland burials, with indigenous trees planted
as natural memorials. If cremation is preferred we make all the
necessary arrangements and provide a choice of crematoria.
